FOX Sports Video - Dempsey snatches late equalizer against Manchester United
Normally I root for Manchester United (my maternal grandfather was from Manchester, plus they have had a large number of great Irish players, including the first one who truly made an impression on me: Paul McGrath, a stalwart of Ireland's World Cup teams in 1990 and 1994) aka "The Red Devils".
However, it is hard not to root for Clint Dempsey who is having possibly the greatest season for an American in Europe ever this year.

Galway v Kilkenny Final ends in a draw - Were you there?
I was not there in person but watched the match at the Thomand Bar in Cork City.
This was the "World Series" of Irish Hurling. It ended in a draw, which means they replayed the entire match again about a month later! The announcers kept talking about heading to the "replay" if it ended in a draw, which I assumed was a weird slang term for "Overtime". Nope, they played the whole game over again. My grandparents are from Galway, so I was rooting for them. Kilkenny won the rematch

One of the best things about New York City, is the ubitquity of hot dog push cart vendors, who the denizens of Manhattan and its environs have taken to calling the "Dirty Water Dog".
Dirty Water Dog, Dirty Water Blog.

Review: Aereo makes it tempting to cut cable TV
Review: Aereo makes it tempting to cut cable TV
Broadcast networks make many of their shows available on the Internet, but you usually have to wait at least a day after an episode airs on television. A subscription service called Aereo breaks those shackles and makes network programs available right away.
Good article on Boston.com about Aereo. The founder is a friend of a friend, who has done some interesting things with tv in the past. He developed Navic networks a company that produced software for set-top boxes, which was purchased my Microsoft. Apparently there are some legal issues related to re-broadcast of tv over the internet.
As a person who travels a ton for business it would be fantastic if I could watch Boston tv when in North Carolina or some other place.

Etymology vs. Entomology
Etymology:
Etymology is the study of the history of words, their origins, and how their form and meaning have changed over time. By an extension, the term "etymology (of a word)" means the origin of a particular word.
Entomology
Entomology (from Greek ἔντομος, entomos, "that which is cut in pieces or engraved/segmented", hence "insect"; and -λογία, -logia[1]) is the scientific study of insects, a branch of arthropodology, which in turn is a branch of biology. In the past the term "insect" was more vague, and historically the definition of entomology included the study of terrestrial animals in other arthropod groups or other phyla, such as arachnids, myriapods, earthworms, land snails, and slugs. This wider meaning may still be encountered in informal use.

"Dirty Water" is a song by the Standells about Boston. It is played at Fenway Park after every Red Sox home win. This tradition started sometime in the late 90s or early 2000s.
Hence, "Dirty Water Blog".
Love that Dirty Water.....
I'm gonna tell you a story
I'm gonna tell you about my town
I'm gonna tell you a big bad story, baby
Aww, it's all about my town
Yeah, down by the river
Down by the banks of the river Charles (aw, that's what's happenin' baby)
That's where you'll find me
Along with lovers, fuggers, and thieves (aw, but they're cool people)
Well I love that dirty water
Oh, Boston, you're my home (oh, you're the Number One place)
Frustrated women (I mean they're frustrated)
Have to be in by twelve o'clock (oh, that's a shame)
But I'm wishin' and a-hopin, oh
That just once those doors weren't locked (I like to save time for
my baby to walk around)
Well I love that dirty water
Oh, Boston, you're my home (oh, yeah)
Because I love that dirty water
Oh, oh, Boston, you're my home (oh, yeah)
Well, I love that dirty water (I love it, baby)
I love that dirty water (I love Baw-stun)
I love that dirty water (Have you heard about the Strangler?)
I love that dirty water (I'm the man, I'm the man)
I love that dirty water (Owww!)
I love that dirty water (Come on, come on)
